Saint-Amour 2021 from Château de la Greffière in manual harvest and ageing Oak barrels, worthily represented here, with a supple and graceful wine, of a beautiful richness while keeping the delicacy of this beautiful Beaujolais appellation.
The Saint-Amour appellation comprises 280 hectares, the soil is mainly clay-siliceous in nature and the grape variety used is Gamay.
The northernmost appellation of the Beaujolais Crus, Saint-Amour is renowned for its fine and delicate. This is particularly the case for this very beautiful wine made from a parcel selection from Château de la Greffière. The 2021 vintage also brings a very nice opening to the nose, an intense garnet colour and a very nice balance of flavours in the mouth. The structure is greedy and fresh with melted tannins. A very nice reference of the appellation.
The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented directly in oak barrels.
