The Saint-Amour appellation comprises 280 hectares, the soil is mainly clay-siliceous in nature and the grape variety used is Gamay.

The northernmost appellation of the Beaujolais Crus, Saint-Amour is renowned for its fine and delicate. This is particularly the case for this very beautiful wine made from a parcel selection from Château de la Greffière.
The 2021 vintage also brings a very nice opening to the nose, an intense garnet colour and a very nice balance of flavours
in the mouth. The structure is greedy and fresh with melted tannins. A very nice reference of the appellation.

The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented directly in oak barrels.

Estate

Château de la Greffière

Since 1924 and 4 successive generations, the GREUZARD family has been vinifying different terroirs of appellations in the South of Burgundy and Beaujolais.

Their know-how is the result of a balance between today's traditions and techniques.

Located in La Roche Vineuse in the Mâcon region, the estate produces very beautiful appellations such as Saint Véran, Pouilly Fuissé, Saint Amour or Mâcon Milly Lamartine.
